Lu Kai specializes in dispute resolution and commercial arbitration, especially in handling a variety of complex commercial disputes.

Before joining Zhong Lun, Mr. Lu worked for DLA Piper in Hong Kong for nearly 15 years, where he was responsible for marketing legal services in PRC and handling related dispute resolution cases. Lu Kai worked in the Dalian Maritime Court in PRC for 4 years and obtained the Certificate of Junior/ Assistant Judge issued by the Supreme People’s Court in PRC. He also served as the general counsel of a Hong Kong listed energy group for over two years and was involved in various commercial projects of the Group's subsidiaries around the world.

He often represents clients in negotiating settlements of commercial disputes and litigation and arbitration proceedings in Hong Kong and London. He could understand clients' commercial purposes and provide practical solutions to resolve complex cross-border commercial disputes.
