Kenneth is an associate in Zhong Lun’s Dispute Resolution Team. Kenneth has experience in a broad range of civil and commercial litigation practice with emphasis on corporate insolvency and restructuring, and shareholders and corporate governance disputes.

Kenneth has acted for companies, directors, shareholders, creditors, and professional liquidators in various contentious matters under Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) and Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance (Cap. 32). Kenneth has also represented a listed company and its affiliate companies in disputes relating to the appointment of receivers and managers, and the enforcement of a securities package in the sum of over HKD 15 billion.

On other civil and commercial matters, Kenneth has acted for clients seeking, inter alia, injunctive relief in multiple defamation, trespass and nuisance actions.

In addition to litigation and arbitral matters, Kenneth also advises clients on a broad spectrum of matrimonial matters involving high-value assets and children’s affairs (including wardship applications). Kenneth has also represented parties in matrimonial proceedings involving disputes concerning third parties’ interests and trust property.


Representative Matters
    Corporate Insolvency and Restructuring Matters
  • Represented a listed company in Hong Kong and its affiliate companies in highly contentious disputes relating to appointment of receivers and managers, and enforcement of a securities package in the sum of over HKD 15 billion.
  • Participated in cross-border proceedings involving a winding-up petition presented at the Supreme Court of Bermuda against a listed company in Hong Kong.
  • Represented the liquidators in a creditor’s appeal against the adjudication of proof of debt under Rule 95 of Companies (Winding-up) Rules (Cap. 32H).
  • Represented a director of a private company (in liquidation) in an avoidance of dispositions of property claim under section 182 of Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance (Cap. 32).
    Civil and Commercial Litigation Matters
  • Represented a well-known global food manufacturer and its affiliate companies in a defamation action against a well-known local media company seeking, inter alia, injunctive relief.
  • Represented the tenants of commercial buildings in trespass/nuisance actions and successfully obtained ex parte and inter parte injunctions against the trespassers.
  • Represented private entities in obtaining an anonymity and gagging order for an intended Norwich Pharmacal application against a multinational technology company.
  • Represented multinational organizations in the energy sector in employment disputes concerning claims in contract, equity and tort on, inter alia,:- (i) breaches of fiduciary duties and fidelity; (ii) conspiracy to injure by unlawful means; (iii) dishonest assistance in breach of fiduciary duties; (iv) breach of confidence; and (iv) breach of post-termination restrictive covenants and non-solicitation clauses.
  • Represented a distributor in defending an action commenced by a global semiconductor company alleging multiple breaches of the distributorship agreement with the total claimed sum of exceeding USD 14 million.
  • Represented the defendants in contractual disputes involving the defence of forgery signatures.
    Matrimonial and Family Matters
  • Represented the petitioning wife in a bigamy case with matrimonial assets of over HKD hundreds of million.
  • Acted for the parties in matrimonial proceedings involving interveners’ claims and/or third parties’ interests in respect of matrimonial assets and trust property.
  • Advised on various matters in relation to children’s affairs, including custody, care and control, access, relocation, guardianship of minors and wardship.
